Jewel's Torticollis - Before and After

5 months... laughing out loud!

@ 1 year

Jewel.. yeah as her name describes her.... she's such a precious little one in the family. Among all my children, she is the only one who can consumed 12 milk bottles in a day at the age of one. Well, her frame shows it all. We all love to cuddle her and pinch her cheek. She has this little voice that sounds like an elf.

When she was born, she has a Torticollis, or wry neck, a condition in which the head is tilted toward one side. I only realized that when she was 4 month old. From thereon, we sent her for physiotheraphy for at least 4 months. It was very hearthbreaking everytime i send her for therapy. Her scream is unbearable everytime her chiropractor pull and stretch her neck at the other side. They gave us some exercises to do at home which include literally stretching her neck in the opposite direction and also placing soft toys to the side she tilts so that she will turn her head in that direction.

Overtime... at the age of 2, she manage to outgrow with it and now looking perfectly alright.
